Vivo S2, Vivo S2 launch
Vivo is set to bring back its S series smartphone after nearly six years. While the company has not officially announced many details about the upcoming S2, multiple leaks have revealed the design, expected specifications, launch timeline and pricing of the upcoming Vivo S2. The latest leaks include images of rare panels, possible price and much more. If the reports are true, the device will be positioned in the mid-range segment.
According to recent reports, the Vivo S2 is expected to launch in India on August 6, with sales likely to begin on August 11. The device may get 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB storage variants. While Vivo has not confirmed the pricing as of now, leaked internal retail listings suggest the base variant may be priced at around Rs 43,000.
The Vivo S2 is said to offer a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and curved edges. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset, paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device is also rumoured to house a massive 7,000mAh battery.
For photography, the smartphone is tipped to include a 50MP Sony primary camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, Vivo is expected to offer a 32MP selfie camera with support for 4K video recording. As always, readers should treat these details as leaks until Vivo makes an official announcement.
The leaked image showcased a curved display along with a slightly curved rear panel. The rear panel brings a minimalist design with a horizontally aligned pill-shaped camera module housing dual camera sensors and a circular LED light ring. The phone is expected to launch in White, Pink and Blue colour options, although earlier reports had suggested Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze and Silk White finishes.
