The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, a.k.a. PlayStation Phone, was spotted in a seemingly official advertisement back on Thursday, where a 30 second spot found its way to YouTube. We’ve called it the most leaked device ever, with nary a official nod in more than a year of rampant speculation, photoshopped images, and blurry videos. Now, we’re glad to announce that Sony Ericsson has finally announced – the Xperia Play is now official!
[RELATED_ARTICLE]Airing the above, new and slightly longer commercial during the prime-time telecast of Super Bowl Sunday, Sony Ericsson has also updated its Facebook page with the below countdown timer – ticking off the seconds till the official unveiling and release date announcment scheduled for an event on the eve (February 13th) of the Mobile World Congress, 2011 – the same day as the Samsung Galaxy S2.
