It seems that low-end music phones are the order of the day, as Sony Ericsson has introduced two new slider Walkman handsets for the Indian audience: the W205 for Rs 5,795 and the W395 for Rs 8,395.
Both the phones deliver a great music experience with the Walkman player, FM radio with recording and TrackID music recognition, which helps one find details of a song, even if one’s not sure of the name. The phones also come with a 1GB Memory Stick Micro card for storage purposes.
The W205 also enables users to easily share the handset with family and friends – its multiple phonebook feature lets up to four users create personalised contact lists that are kept separate. It comes packaged with Sony’s premium HPM-64 Bass Reflex headphones.
The W395 allows users to enjoy super loud music through special stereo speakers that boost sounds. The phone’s package includes the HPM-62 stereo headset for a great audio experience.
At the launch of the new phones, Mr. Sudhin Mathur, General Manager, Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications India said: “Being the pioneer in the music phone category, our ‘Walkman’ phone range has universally been lauded for the quality music experience offered. The basic premise behind the launch of the affordable Sony Ericsson W205 and W305 walkman phones is to further extend this experience to those who love portable music but have never had the Walkman phone experience.”
