Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 runs out of stock in India after record pre-orders

Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Z Fold7 is already out of stock in several markets across India within just 48 hours of opening sales in India. The company has confirmed it is ramping up production at its Noida manufacturing facility to meet the surge in demand. According to Samsung, a record-breaking 210,000 pre-orders have been received for Samsung’s seventh-generation foldable lineup, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. 

The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable yet, weighs just 215 grams and measures only 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm thick when unfolded. It comes in four colour options: Blue Shadow, Silver Shadow, Mint, and Jet Black. The device is witnessing strong traction across both online and offline retail channels. “We are working overtime to ensure adequate supplies of our most advanced smartphone, to enable customers to enjoy the Galaxy Z Fold7 at the earliest,” said Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President, MX Business, Samsung India. 

For the unversed, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 7 alongside Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE on July 9, 2025.  The handset is priced at Rs 1,74,999 for the base 12GB + 256GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and an 8-inch QXGA+ AMOLED inner screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. 

The device comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage under the hood. The device comes backed by a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging, wireless charging, and wireless PowerShare.

In terms of camera, the device ships with a 200MP primary shooter, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, 30x digital). On the front, it gets a 10MP cover and a 10MP inner screen selfie camera.
