After its flagship S25 series launch, Samsung is now gearing up for the launch of its foldable lineup, with the Galaxy Z Fold Z and Galaxy Z Flip 7. If Samsung follows its usual timeline, then the phones can be launched during the Unpacked 2025 event in July, although the company has yet to confirm the official launch date. Among the two, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has been generating significant buzz due to reports suggesting a larger display, a refined design, and an upgraded camera system. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer.
If leaks are to be believed, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be thinner than its predecessor. When unfolded, the device may measure just 4.5mm in thickness, while the folded form factor could be 9.5mm thick, making it slimmer than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. But it might not be the thinnest foldable phone on the market compared to other brands. In terms of overall design, the device is likely to retain a similar look to its predecessor with minor refinements.
Other than that, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to feature an 8.2-inch inner AMOLED display and a 6.5-inch outer AMOLED panel. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the foldable phone can carry a 200-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. Additionally, a 10-megapixel front camera and a 4-megapixel under-display camera for the inner screen are expected
The device is likely to house a 4,400mAh battery, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to launch in India for under Rs 1,70,000. If reports are to be believed, it could be priced starting at Rs 1,64,999 in India.
