Samsung is gearing up to launch its next iteration of foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 7 5G and Galaxy Z Flip 7 5G in the coming months. This year, smartphones are likely to get some significant improvements in terms of design and features. The purported Galaxy Z Fold 7 5G is tipped to be less than half as thick as the original Galaxy Fold and 4mm thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Plus, it is also said to feature a larger foldable display and a 200 MP primary camera.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to arrive in early July alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The handsets are likely to go on sale later that month. Though the company hasn’t revealed any details yet.
According to a recent leak, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 5G could come with a thickness of 8.2mm when folded. This means the phone will outslim the Oppo Find N5’s 8.9mm thickness. Also, it is over 30% less than the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s 12.2mm thickness and less than half as thick as the Galaxy Fold’s 17.1mm thickness.
The reports have also suggested some major improvements in terms of display and camera. The phone is likely to get a larger 8-inch inner display and a 6.5-inch cover display. Further, it is also said to get Samsung’s 200 MP primary camera. However, we haven’t heard much about the telephoto and ultrawide sensors.
For performance, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite and up to 1TB of built-in storage. The phone may come with One UI 8 pre-installed.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 price in India could start at Rs 1,64,999, for the standard variant while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could come at a starting Rs 1,09,999.
