South Korean tech giant Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series foldables in India this year. Soon after the arrival of the 8th-generation folding phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which arrived last year at a starting price of Rs 1,74,999, was available at a significantly lower price. In this series of updates, the handset has dropped to its lowest price since launch. At a price of under Rs 1.3 lakh, the foldable flagship serves as a direct rival to the Moto Razr Fold, which can be grabbed for Rs 1.36 lakh after availing offers.

Motorola Razr Fold starts at Rs 1,49,999 (12GB + 256GB) during Flipkart’s Big Bang Diwali 2026 sale. With a Rs 14,000 bank offer via Flipkart Axis and SBI credit cards, this price can be reduced to Rs 1,35,999. The 16GB + 512GB trim is available for Rs 1,59,999, which can be grabbed for under Rs 1,46,000 with bank discounts, significantly cheaper than Samsung’s 512GB trim.
Screen: Motorola Razr Fold packs a 6.6-inch pOLED 165Hz cover screen and an 8.1-inch 120Hz pOLED main display. The Galaxy Z Fold 7, in comparison, brings a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz cover screen and an 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X 120Hz main panel.
Performance: Under the hood, the Razr Fold is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and runs on an Android 16-based Hello UI experience. Samsung Z Fold 7 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and boots on OneUI 8. Both phones are set to receive OS updates for seven years after launch.
Battery: The Moto Razr Fold, in comparison, houses a 6,000mAh Si-Ca battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. In comparison, the Galaxy foldable packs a smaller 4,400mAh cell with slower 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.

You can check out the Motorola Razr Fold if you want a larger battery and faster charging, triple 50MP cameras and a slightly bigger screen and form factor. Lastly, buyers should also note that the South Korean tech giant’s device is available at a lower price than the Razr Fold.
