Samsung will most likely host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, at which it may unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7. While the company hasn’t revealed any official details about the upcoming foldable, rumours and reports have suggested major upgrades over last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 6. We have previously heard that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may pack an Exynos chipset, and now a recent report suggests that the handset could get a revamped cover display similar to that of the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra series.
Here’s everything we know so far.
According to a report by Android Headlines, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 may get an edge-to-edge cover display. The leaked renders, spotted on One UI 8.0 firmware files, showcase a Motorola Razr 60 Ultra-like cover display that sports dual cutouts housing the two cameras. This also means the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may get a bigger 4-inch cover screen.
Additionally, the handset is said to ship with a larger 6.85-inch inner display with thinner bezels. The device is also expected to get a 4,300mAh battery with 45W fast charging support, and an Exynos 2400 SoC under the hood. Furthermore, it could come with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage..
For photography, the Flip 7 is rumoured to ship with a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens on the cover screen and a 10MP selfie camera on the inner display. It is also tipped to feature new Galaxy AI suite and other software features. Apart from these, Samsung is also speculated to reduce the display crease making it almost invisible.
