Samsung’s upcoming foldable smartphone lineup has been generating a lot of buzz for a long time now, and the brand doesn’t seem to be in the mood to make its fans wait any longer. Samsung usually unveils its foldable smartphone in July, and this year will be no different. Prominent tipster Evan Blass has just dropped the date of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event 2025, and it’s July 9. However, the company is yet to confirm the details officially. Additionally, some previous rumours also suggest that the upcoming event will likely be held in New York after a three-year wait.
Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event 2025.
As tipped on X (formerly Twitter), Samsung will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event on July 9, 2025, slated to begin at 10:00 AM EDT (7:30 PM IST). This also coincides with previous rumours suggesting that Samsung will stick to the early-July launch window for its summer Galaxy Unpacked event. To recall, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 were launched on July 10.
Samsung is tipped to introduce three foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and a new Z Flip 7 FE, at the upcoming event alongside Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. Apart from these, Samsung could also release teasers of its first-ever XR headset, Project Moohan, which was showcased at Google I/O.

While the details on the devices are kept under wraps, Samsung recently teased an “”ultra-thin”” foldable, calling it “The next chapter of Ultra.”” This left users guessing that the brand may name its phablet the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra. However, it may not bear the ”Ultra” name; Samsung might be hinting at an experience similar to the Ultra.
The tech giant said that the upcoming foldable device may not only receive significant upgrades in terms of features but will also become thinner and more easily portable. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is teased to have a new intelligent camera system that can be more intuitive and adjust itself accordingly. Additionally, the rumours suggest that it may also get the brand’s signature 200 MP primary camera, which has been limited to Galaxy S-series Ultra models.
