Samsung is reportedly working on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 to give the series its yearly refresh. Early leaks point out that the device could boast a sharper, brighter AMOLED display and may potentially shake up the camera hardware. The rumours also suggest that Samsung may use the Sony-based primary camera starting with the S7 model. Furthermore, it’s also anticipated to land with the Exynos 2700 chipset and an upgraded security setup with 3D face-scanning alongside ultrasonic fingerprint recognition. Here’s everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy S27, including specs, camera details, and launch timeline.
The standard Samsung Galaxy S27 is rumoured to house a 6.3-inch 2X AMOLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Moreover, it’s also expected to support HDR+ and is said to reach a peak brightness of 2,600 nits when used outdoors.
Under the hood the handset may draw its power from the Exynos 2700 chipset in the Indian market, and it might get coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB internal storage.

Talking about the battery, the smartphone may pack a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W wired and 20W wireless (Qi2.2) charging. For connectivity, it could offer 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0+, UWB, NFC, and a USB Type-C port with data transfer speeds of up to 5Gbps.
Rumours also suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S27 may also possibly feature a front 3D face-scanning via Polar ID alongside an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Out of the box the smartphone is tipped to run on One UI 9, which is a skin based on Android 17.

With the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27, the smartphone maker is reportedly set to feature a 50MP Sony-powered primary camera. If the rumours are accurate, this would mark the first time Samsung has moved away from using its in-house ISOCELL camera sensor for the main camera. Alongside that you may receive a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, the device could sport a 12MP front-facing camera.
While the smartphone maker has not yet announced the launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S27, if the brand follows its old launch pattern, then the device could launch somewhere around February or March of 2027. Early reports also suggest that the device could be priced around Rs 90,000. These are just speculative prices and might change at the time of launch.
