Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra price
Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy S26 series may not arrive as early as expected. According to a report by 9To5Google, the next-generation Galaxy S lineup has been delayed to late February or early March 2026, making a notable shift from Samsung’s usual January launch window. The reported reason behind this delay is Samsung’s last-minute decision to retain the Plus variant, a reversal from earlier plans to replace it with an all-new “Edge” model. This change has reportedly disrupted the company’s production and marketing timeline, pushing the launch back by several weeks.
For months, reports had hinted that Samsung could replace the base and Plus models with Pro and Edge variants with the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge, respectively.
However, fresh reports from NewsPim, cited by 9To5Google, claim that Samsung has now abandoned the Edge variant because of the disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
This sudden change means Samsung’s launch cycle may revert to its earlier schedule. To recall, the Galaxy S22 series debuted in February 2022, while the S23 arrived in mid-February 2023. The S24 and S25 series broke the pattern with January launches in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
With the Galaxy S26 launch now reportedly delayed, Samsung’s flagship timeline is moving closer to the older February–March window.

While Samsung remains tight-lipped about official details, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to remain the key highlight of the lineup. Early leaks suggest it could be powered by either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, offering top-tier performance, upgraded AI features, and enhanced camera capabilities.
Samsung has yet to confirm the final lineup or launch date.
