HIGHLIGHTS

Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge's 3C listing suggests a 4,200mAh (rated 4,078mAh) battery for better endurance than S25 Edge.

Contrary to previous leaks, Samsung seems to stick to lithium-ion, not silicon-carbon battery tech.

It is expected to feature Exynos 2600 chipset, 50MP ultrawide camera, and a slim design.

Samsung’s next premium flagship, the Galaxy S26 Edge, has started making headlines months ahead of its expected launch. The Galaxy S25 Edge was unveiled in May as the fourth member of the S25 series; however, the S26 Edge is expected to replace the Plus model in the upcoming lineup. In the latest development, the device has reportedly been spotted on China’s 3C certification website, revealing details about its battery capacity.

For the unversed, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge will join the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming handset so far.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge battery (Leaked)

According to the listing spotted by SamMobile, the Galaxy S26 Edge could pack a 4,078mAh battery, which will likely be marketed as 4,200mAh. This will be a notable upgrade over the 3,900mAh unit in the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was widely criticised for being underwhelming compared to the 4,000mAh cell in the standard Galaxy S25. The new battery capacity is expected to improve battery life while maintaining the slim profile that defines the Edge variant.

Interestingly, the listing also reveals that Samsung will stick to lithium-ion battery technology, despite earlier reports hinting at a move to silicon-carbon batteries. The latter would have allowed higher capacities without significantly increasing the size, but it seems Samsung isn’t ready to make the jump yet.

The Galaxy S26 Edge is expected to replace the “Plus” model in the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup, launching alongside the Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra. Leaks further suggest that the device could feature a 50MP ultrawide camera, run on the Exynos 2600 chipset, and have an even thinner body compared to its predecessor.
