Samsung Galaxy S25 FE launches with thinner design and bigger battery: Price, specifications and availability

Updated on 04-Sep-2025

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S25 FE, a lighter and slimmer follow-up to last year’s S24 FE. The S25 FE brings a refreshed design, on-device AI features and a cooling upgrade, while keeping Samsung’s long software promise intact. In addition, Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy Tab S11 series and the Buds 3 FE. Here’s everything you need to know about the Galaxy S25 FE.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Specs and Features

The S25 FE moves to a 7.4 mm chassis at 190 g, down from 0.6 mm and 23 g from the S24 FE, yet bumps the battery to 4,900 mAh. The charging speed has also been bumped up to 45 W wired and 15 W wireless. Inside is the Exynos 2400, which is paired with a 10% larger vapour chamber and a new thermal interface that Samsung claims offers steadier performance in games and video work.

The S25 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120 Hz panel rated at up to 1,900 nits. Samsung’s Vision Booster continues to tune colour and contrast outdoors so highlights don’t wash out at peak brightness. The phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Plus, gets an IP68 rating and the same “Enhanced Armour Aluminium” frame as the S25 and S25+.

The triple-camera setup includes a 50 MP wide, 12 MP ultra-wide, and 8 MP 3x telephoto, plus a new 12 MP selfie camera. Samsung’s ProVisual and Object-Aware engines return from the S25 line with 8K30 FPS video support. On the software side, One UI 8 (based on Android 16) brings on-device Galaxy AI for things like live call translation without the internet, alongside cloud features based on Google Gemini.

Creator-focused tools highlighted by Samsung include Generative Edit, Sketch to Image, Instant Slow-Mo, and an upgraded Audio Eraser that can now auto-detect and suppress common background noises. Circle to Search for gameplay, which was first seen on Samsung’s latest generation of foldables- Fold 7 and Flip 7, arrives here too, bringing level-specific help and timestamps without leaving the game.

Samsung is offering a six-month Google AI Pro suite trial with the S25 FE, which includes access to more capable Gemini models across Gmail/Docs and 2 TB of cloud storage. The phone will be sold in Navy, White, and Jet Black, with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB storage options. As is common with Samsung devices, there’s no charger in the box. Samsung’s update policy remains unchanged: 7 years of Android OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is priced starting at $649.99 (~Rs 57,000) in the US. India Pricing and availability details are awaited.
