Samsung is reportedly working on a new budget smartphone, the Galaxy F17 5G, for the Indian market. The handset’s specifications and other key details have emerged online, hinting at an early 2026 launch. While the company has yet to reveal any details, the handset will reportedly come equipped with a triple rear camera setup featuring OIS support. The handset may succeed the Samsung Galaxy F16 5G, which was launched earlier this year in March.

According to a report by Smartprix, citing industry sources, the Galaxy F17 5G is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It is tipped to come with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance. The device may measure 7.5mm in thickness.
Additionally, the device could feature a 50 MP sensor with OIS at its centre, accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera. It may also house a 13MP front-facing camera.
Under the hood, the handset could be backed by an Exynos 1330 chipset, built on a 6nm process. The smartphone could pack a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W charging. On the software side, the Galaxy F17 5G is expected to offer 6 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches. It could run on One UI 7, based on Android 15.

As for pricing, the Galaxy F17 5G is expected to launch in India at Rs 14,499 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option will likely be priced at Rs 15,999.
