After the launch of its flagship S series last month, Samsung has now launched the new Galaxy A series devices. The South Korean tech giant just launched the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 smartphones in India. Both of these smartphones have features like 120Hz AMOLED displays, flagship-inspired camera enhancements, and long-term software support. What else do they offer? Let’s find out.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate with a claimed peak brightness of 1,900 nits. It comes with IP67 water and dust resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and a metal frame. It is available in three colours- Awesome Lightgray, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Olive.
It runs on the Exynos 1580 (4nm) chipset with AMD Xclipse 540 GPU. You get two storage variants on the device 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. On the software front, it runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15. It has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it has a 12-megapixel selfie shooter too. Lastly, the smartphone has a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging support.
The Samsung Galaxy A36, on the other hand, has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 (6nm) with Adreno 710 GPU. It also runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15. For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it has a 12-megapixel selfie shooter. You get a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging here too. And it comes in three colours- Awesome Lavender, Awesome Black, and Awesome White.
The Galaxy A56 is priced at Rs 41,999 for the 8GB+128GB variant, Rs 44,999 8GB+256GB variant, and Rs 47,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant. The Galaxy A36 starts at Rs 32,999 8GB+128GB variant, with other variants at Rs 35,999 (8GB+256GB) and Rs 38,999 (12GB+256GB).
Both phones are available from Samsung stores, online platforms, and retail partners starting today, with exciting launch offers.
