Samsung may be preparing for a bigger stage at CES 2026, but ahead of the tech show’s kickoff, the company has quietly shifted attention toward its own showcase. The brand has announced a new event titled The First Look, scheduled for January 4, 2026, at 10 PM ET (8:30 AM IST), just two days before CES 2026 begins in Las Vegas. According to the company, the presentation will outline its broader vision for 2026 and offer an early peek at new AI-focused consumer experiences.
The event will be led by TM Roh, CEO and Head of the Device experience division, alongside senior executives SW Yong and Cheolgi Kim. Their participation hints that Samsung may discuss advancements across its television lineup, home appliances, and wider connected ecosystem product categories that traditionally dominate the company’s CES announcements.

While Samsung has not officially confirmed any product reveals for The First Look, several online reports suggest that the Galaxy Z TriFold may once again take centre stage. The double-folding device, which was introduced quietly earlier this year, could receive a more prominent showcase during the CES window, according to ongoing leaks and rumours.
Speculation also suggests that CES 2026 may be the venue for an official US pricing announcement for the Galaxy Z TriFold. Android Authority previously reported that the foldable was expected to go on sale in the US during the first quarter of 2026, suggesting that CES is a perfect platform where Samsung can disclose its pricing.

It is expected that Samsung might give up most of the global market and may not even be launched in the Indian market. A rumour says that the Samsung Galaxy trifold will only be launched in the US, Korean, and Chinese markets. Other than that, while there are rumours around the Samsung S26 series, it would also come to the surface; it’s very highly unlikely that much of the specs would be revealed.
Interested viewers can watch the Samsung’s ‘The First Look’ event on their official Samsung Newsroom website, the official YouTube channel, and Samsung TV Plus since it will be livestreamed on these platforms.
