Reliance customers get integrated billing on Nokia Ovi Store

Both pre-paid and post-paid cellphone subscribers of Reliance Communications will be happy to note that they can now pay for applications on the Nokia Ovi Store by having it billed to their phone.

[RELATED_ARTICLE]The partnership makes Reliance the first operator to offer integrated billing for premium third-party content in India. Even with a large part of the world still reeling over the implications of the Nokia-Microsoft deal, Nokia and the Ovi Store are still going strong in India – so there definitely is a market for the new payment option. The move is not co-incidentally timed with Reliance rolling-out 3G services in its assigned regions, and with other operators also mobilizing, we probably will not see integrated billing remaining a Reliance-exclusive for too long.
