Poco has expanded its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Poco X8 Power, bringing a large 10,000 mAh battery, a high-resolution AMOLED display and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset to the segment. Priced from Rs 35,999, the smartphone takes on the iQOO Z11, which starts at Rs 34,999 and packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo processor, a 7,050mAh battery and a faster 144Hz AMOLED display. Both smartphones also feature 50MP primary cameras with OIS and 32MP selfie cameras. The Poco X8 Power comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 12-bit colours and can reach a peak brightness of up to 3,500 nits. The display also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, making it better suited for users who consume a lot of video content. The smartphone also gets Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
In comparison, the iQOO Z11 features a slightly curved 6.83-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a faster 144 Hz refresh rate. The panel supports up to 2,000 nits of high brightness mode and also houses an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Poco X8 Power draws power from Qualcomm’s newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor. The chipset is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, with the smartphone offering up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Meanwhile, the iQOO Z11 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. It comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone runs OriginOS 6, based on Android 16, and also includes AI features such as AI Creation and AI Captions.
In terms of optics, the Poco X8 Power features a 50MP primary camera with OIS, supported by an 8MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone comes with a 32MP front-facing camera.
The iQOO Z11 also gets a 50MP primary camera, but it uses the Sony IMX882 sensor and comes with OIS. The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens, while a 32MP camera is available at the front. The rear and front cameras on the iQOO Z11 support 4K video recording, whereas the ultrawide camera supports 1080p recording with EIS.
Talking about the battery, the Poco X8 Power has a massive 10,000mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the iQOO Z11’s 7,050mAh unit. The Poco smartphone supports 100W fast charging and also offers wired reverse charging.
The iQOO Z11, meanwhile, supports 44W fast charging. While its battery capacity is lower than that of the Poco X8 Power, the 7,050mAh cell is still considerably larger than what is found on many smartphones in this segment.
