Philips has officially listed its S7221 device on Amazon, marking its debut in the Indian smartphone market. The Philips S7221 is a direct competitor to the Vivo Y31T, which has been there in the market for a while. While Philips is comparatively new, the device comes with impressive specs, making the choice for smartphone buyers a bit tougher. But something all of us would like to have. Both the smartphones house a dual-camera setup at the back. However, the main difference lies in the battery and the chipset. Here is a detailed spec-based comparison of the Philips S7221 and Vivo Y31T.
The Philips S7221 features a 6.67-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Moreover, the smartphone also boasts IP64 ratings, ensuring that the device is protected against water and dust.
Vivo has packed its Y31T 5G with a 6.75-inch LCD display, which is coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device also supports HD+ resolution, and the company claims that the display can reach a peak brightness of 1250 nits in the High Brightness Mode.

According to the Philips official listing, the S7221 runs on the Octa-core Unisoc T765 chipset and is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Out of the box the smartphone runs on Android 16.
While the Vivo Y31T draws its power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Along with that, the users also get an option of up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The smartphone also boasts Origin OS 6, an Android 16-based skin.
Philips has packed its S7221 with a 5,700mAh battery cell to make sure that your device can last an entire day under the normal use case. The charging details of the device have not been shared by the company at the time of writing.
The Vivo Y31T, on the other hand, comes with a massive 7200mAh battery cell. Not only that but the company also supports the big battery with 44W wired charging.
In terms of camera, the Philips S7221 comes with a dual camera setup at the back. It includes a 64MP primary sensor which is supported by a secondary camera. At the front, the device boasts a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
To please the camera enthusiasts, the Vivo Y31T houses a 50MP primary sensor along with a 2MP secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, it comes with an 8MP camera at the front.

While the company has not officially announced the prices of the smartphones yet, the Amazon listing of the device confirms that the device will land in the Indian market with a price tag of Rs 21,499. Not only that but the eligible users can also get an extra Rs 3,000 off when making a purchase using selected credit cards. The Vivo Y31T launched in India with a starting price of Rs 25,999.
