A leaked image taken at a resolution of 8,160 x 6,120 pixels suggests that Oppo’s upcoming smartphone, Find 7, might come with a 50MP camera.

An image of a Ford Classic, supposedly taken with the upcoming Oppo Find 7, has leaked on the website Weibo and suggests that the phone might come with a 50MP camera. The EXIF data of the image shows that the image has a resolution of 8160 x 6120 pixels with the camera name Oppo Find 7. The image is very standard and seems good enough for a 50MP camera, but again we can’t judge if the camera quality is really good as the image could be post-processed.

We are well aware that Oppo will be launching the Find 7 very soon. Find 7 will be featuring a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 resolution display and the latest Snapdragon 801 processor.

The only other smartphone that can reach such massive numbers is the Nokia Lumia 1020 with its PureView technology that oversamples a smaller 8MP image. We are presuming that Oppo Find 7 will be featuring a similar technology as the sensors for smartphone cameras are too small to produce such high resolutions.

The Oppo Find 7 will be launched on 19th of March in Beijing and we are hoping that Oppo will introduce the smartphone in India as it has recently ventured into the Indian market with the N1.
