Chinese smartphone giant Oppo is gearing up to launch a new smartphone in India- the Oppo F29 Pro 5G. However, the company has not announced anything regarding the device officially, it has now been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. This sighting indicates that Oppo is planning to drop the devices in the markets pretty soon. In addition to this, rumours and leaks surfacing online have also shared fair details of what we can expect from the upcoming device. Here’s everything that we know so far.
According to renowned tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, the Oppo F29 Pro 5G is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. This can be coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The handset will likely run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15 out-of-the-box.
Additionally, it can feature a 6.7-inch full-HD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It can also house an in-display fingerprint scanner. For photography, we can get a dual camera setup on the rear comprising a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. On the front, it may house a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
One of the standout features of the Oppo F29 Pro 5G is the 6,000mAh battery, which is expected to support 80W wired fast charging.
Although Oppo has yet to officially announce the launch date of the F29 Pro 5G, its specifications suggest it could be similar to the Oppo A5 Pro 5G, which was introduced in China in December 2024 at a starting price of CNY 1,999 this translates to approximately Rs. 23,300 in India.
