Phone maker OnePlus turns one year old, offers 50 percent discounts to existing customers on accessories for the entire day.

OnePlus, the company behind the One smartphone, has turned one year old. On this occasion, the company is offering 50% to all its existing customers on all its accessories sold via Amazon India. The offer is valid for today only.

The company which earlier dropped the invite system completely has also lowered the price of its One smartphone by Rs. 1 to commemorate its one year anniversary. Thus, the 16GB and 64GB variant of the OnePlus One will now be sold at lower price of Rs. 18,998 and Rs. 21,998  respectively. This is not a significant price change but the phone maker claims it was done on a humorous note as it already maintains a razor-thin margin in profits on its smartphone.

As far as software support goes, OnePlus One has already received/is receiving its last and final update from Cyanogen, the CM12. However, OnePlus has already made the first version of its Oxygen OS ROM for the OnePlus One which is also available for download. The company is also gearing up to launch its next flagship device, the OnePlus Two later this year.
