Nothing Phone 3 launch confirmed with snapdragon 8s gen 4 chipset
Nothing Phone 3 is all set for its global debut on July 1. The tech giant will unveil its next flagship phone after two long years of waiting, and the leaks and reports suggest that it will be worth the wait. The handset will pack several significant upgrades, including a revamped Glyph interface, an improved camera setup and more. As the device is nearing its launch, the Head of Design at Nothing has shared insights on the new Glyph Matrix as well as the brand’s decision to ditch the Glyph LED light strips.
Additionally, the phone’s specifications and expected price in India have also been leaked. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Nothing Phone 3.
In a recent interview with Design Milk, Adam Bates, Head of Design at Nothing, has shared that the upcoming Nothing Phone 3 will retain the iconic Glyph interface with some tweaks. Unlike the Nothing Phone 2, the Glyph Matrix on the Phone 3 has been made smaller with a compact cluster of micro-LEDs. Instead of spanning over the entire rear panel, the redesigned Glyph Matrix will be positioned as a circle at the top right corner of the back panel. Additionally, it has also become more efficient. The new Glyph interface will not only offer pixel-level animations and symbolic visuals, but it will also feature reactive lighting synced with sound and users’ actions.
Furthermore, the new design will also allow users to customise lighting effects for different apps and notifications. Apart from its design and functionality, it has also improved hardware layouts by freeing up internal space.
Apart from the design change, Nothing Phone 3 is also confirmed to get hardware improvements in terms of processor, camera and more. The handset will be backed by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and a 5,150mAh battery with 100W charging support.
Additionally, the handset will feature a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution. As for the camera, the device ships with a triple camera setup on the back, comprising a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope camera. On the front, it could house a 50MP selfie camera.
