At the recently concluded MWC 2025, Nothing launched its Nothing Phone 3a lineup. It included two smartphones- the Nothing Phone 3a and the Nothing Phone 3a Pro. But that was just the beginning of the year for the company. Recent leaks suggest that the brand is now gearing up for the launch of the more premium Nothing Phone 3 lineup. It is expected to launch in a couple of months though. Here’s everything that we know about the device so far.
The Nothing Phone 3 is expected to launch in July 2025. Tipster Abhishek Yadav took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news. If we look back at the company’s previous timelines, it aligns with that. The Nothing Phone 1 and 2 debuted in July 2022 and 2023, respectively.
While the tipster hasn’t revealed much about the upcoming flagship, previous reports indicate that Nothing is focusing on AI-powered innovations with this release. A leaked email from CEO Carl Pei previously hinted at breakthroughs in the user interface, making the Phone 3 the company’s first step into an AI-powered platform.
Carl Pei had teased AI integration within Nothing OS as early as June 2024. The new home screen is expected to function as a hub for contextual and relevant information. For this, it will leverage AI and try to make the whole experience more intuitive. One exciting development that is being spoken about is a multi-modal AI companion, which is designed to communicate in a human-like manner.
Recently, with the Nothing Phone 3a series, the company also introduced an Essential Key, part of the AI-powered Essential Space, which provides quick access to smart features. The upcoming Phone 3 is expected to enhance this AI experience further, bringing deeper AI-powered refinements and usability improvements.
For now, that’s all we know about the device so far. In the coming months, more information is expected to follow.
