Nokia has launched the Here Maps service on the Asha OS platform and Nokia Asha 501. The addition of the service has made Nokia Asha 501 different from all other devices in this price range. The Here Maps service is now available on Windows Phone 8, Firefox OS, mHTML5 and Android OS.
Nokia Here Maps allows you to search for places and addresses over 200 countries. The user can get detailed driving directions, public transit and walk directions in a list or map view. Nokia's post states that the current version "is a starting point and we will improve the experience over time." Nokia is also planning to add higher quality satellite images as well as public transit lines soon.
Pedestrian users get routes that include parks, open buildings as well as stairs when possible in Here Maps. It has real-time traffic information so that your can easily adjust your route on the go. User can download HERE Maps (beta) for the new Asha platform from the Nokia Store.

Nokia recently started the Here Venue Maps service in Kolkata, India. The service has initially been launched in eight malls in Kolkata and will be later extended to cover airports as well. The Here Venue Maps allows the user to get complete information about specific stores, elevators, floor levels and even restrooms in a particular mall.
