Motorola is expected to launch its second generation Moto E smartphone at the MWC next month. However, the smartphone has been spotted online ahead of its launch via the e-commerce site bestbuy at $99.99 (approximately Rs. 6,200).
Popular online retailer Best Buy has listed the Motorola Moto E 4G's Sprint variant with a 'coming soon' tag along with the price and specifications. According to the listing the Moto E 4G will have a 4.5-inch qHD display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution. It will have a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB inbuilt storage expandable via microSD card support up to 32 GB.
The listing doesn't mention a front camera, but says the smartphone will feature a 5 MP rear camera. Connectivity options included are 3G as well as a 4G support. Moto E 4G will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The smartphones physical dimensions are listed as 130 x 67 x 11.9mm and it weighs 143 grams. However since this is a third-party retailer, it's not certain whether this will be the official launch price and specifications of the Motorola Moto E 4G.
Motorola just completed its one year partnership in India and has officially announced a number of offers with ecommerce retailer Flipkart.com. The company is offering various deals on its popular Moto E, Moto G 2nd gen, Moto X 2nd gen, Nexus 6 and Moto 360 smartphone for a week from 9th to 15th February. Lenovo owned Motorola recently announced that it sold 10 million phones in Q4, 2014, a record growth of 118 percent yoy.
