Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ may launch in India soon: Here is what you can expect

After the Razr Fold, Motorola has now teased a new smartphone, possibly the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The company has officially teased the device, and its microsite is also live on the platform. The device is expected to sit above the standard Edge 70 Pro, which launched in India in April, starting at Rs 38,999. While the company has not officially confirmed the device yet, recent leaks and teaser materials suggest that Motorola may introduce the first-ever Pro+ branded Edge smartphone in India later this month.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ specifications

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved Extreme LTPO AMOLED display with support for a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,200 nits. The smartphone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset paired with up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.

For optics, the device is expected to sport a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT-710 primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom support. On the front, the phone may include a 50MP selfie camera.

The handset is also tipped to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging, along with wireless charging capabilities. In terms of durability, the device may offer IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ price in India

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is said to get a price tag of between Rs 40,000 and Rs 55,000 in the segment in India. However, the report states that the device will be priced at Rs 49,999. If true, the device will compete with the Vivo V70 series, OnePlus 15R, and iQOO 15R in the premium mid-range category. The device is expected to launch later this month.
