Motorola is now preparing to expand its Edge 70 series with a new device, the Edge 70 Pro. It will be positioned above the Edge 70. The company has officially teased the device and the micro-page is already live on Flipkart, revealing the first look and upgraded camera capabilities. However, the company has not confirmed the launch date and price yet, but the leaks have already started to surface online.
Motorola has not revealed the launch date yet, but the microsite suggests that the device may launch soon. If we look at its predecessor’s launch timeline, we can expect that the device will launch by the end of this month or early next month. The device will be available on Flipkart, Motorola e-store and other retail channel partners.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro is expected to feature a 6.7-inch quad-curved OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a high refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It may feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and could be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The smartphone is also tipped to pack a 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for up to 100W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
It is likely to sport a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera with enhanced zoom capabilities, while the front may house a 50MP shooter. It may also offer an IP68/IP69 rating for dust and water resistance. Additionally, a dedicated AI key is likely to be included for quick access to Moto AI features.
Motorola has not disclosed any pricing details yet, but the leaks suggest that the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant could cost Rs 31,999, while the 12GB and 512GB variant could cost Rs 37,999. The device is expected to arrive in premium finishes such as Satin-Luxe Green, Tailored-Fabric Blue and Marble White.
