After much speculation, Motorola has confirmed that it’s going to introduce the Edge 70 in the Indian market soon. The Motorola Edge 60 successor is confirmed to get an ultra-thin form factor along with better display, performance and camera. Taking to X, the company confirmed that the device will have a 5.99mm thickness. In the same tweet, the company has confirmed the Motorola Edge 70 India launch date. Here’s everything that we know about the upcoming device at the moment.
The Motorola Edge 70 is all set to make its India debut on December 17. The device will be available for purchase on Flipkart, Motorola e-store and other retail channel partners. However, the availability, bank offers and other details are said to be announced on the day of launch.
The Motorola Edge 70 is said to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 1.5K resolution and up to 4,500 nits peak brightness. The device may also offer Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The device is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and could be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device may ship with a 5,000 mAh battery and support 68W wired charging. It may also offer 15W wireless charging. The device will run on Android 16-based Hello UI. As per reports, the device may offer 3 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
In terms of the camera, the device is confirmed to feature a 50MP triple camera including the primary, ultrawide and third camera. For selfies, the device could offer a 50MP front camera.
The device is said to feature a MIL-STD-810H certification and IP68 + IP69 water and dust resistance. It will also offer aircraft-grade aluminium frames.
The Motorola Edge 70 is expected to be priced at around Rs 35,000. As per the leaks, the device may launch in three colours, including Pantone Bronze Green, Pantone Gadget Grey and Pantone Lily Pad.
