Motorola is reportedly preparing to expand its lower mid-range smartphone portfolio with the Moto G56 5G. The smartphone is likely to debut as the successor to the Moto G55 5G, which was launched in August 2024. While there are no official details about it, the handset’s design, specifications, colour options, and more have emerged on the internet.
According to a recent report, the purported Moto G56 5G is likely to come in four colourways namely Pantone Black Oyster, Pantone Grey Mist, Pantone Dazzling Blue, and Pantone Dill. Here’s everything that you need to know.
Motorola didn’t launch the Moto G55 5G in India, and it is expected to do the same to its successor, the Moto G56 5 G. However, the smartphone is likely to arrive in the global market by August 2025. It is expected to be priced at €250 (approx Rs 24,000) for the 8+256GB configuration.

Popular tipster Evan Blass has shared Moto G56 5G’s detailed specs sheet via X (formerly known as Twitter). According to the leaks, the smartphone could sport a 6.72-inch LCD screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The handset is said to be powered by an unannounced 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chip paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage expandable up to 2TB via a microSD card.
Additionally, the Moto G56 5G is tipped to run on Android 15-based Hello UI. For optics, it could ship with a 50mp main Sony LYT-600 camera and an 8mp ultrawide sensor housed in a square camera island. On the front, there could be a 32MP selfie shooter.
The phone is also expected to pack a 5200mAh battery supported by a 33W fast charging.
