LG G3 specifications, images revealed ahead of official announcement

LG is expected to formally announce its new flagship smartphone, G3. While LG Netherlands has already revealed the full specifications, we can expect the company to reveal pricing and availability of the smartphone today.

LG’s next flagship, G3, is set to be unveiled today, but details of the smartphone have already hit the web. Unlike the previous rumours and leaks, the G3 made a brief appearance on the company’s official Dutch website, revealing the full specifications.

According to LG Netherlands website, the LG G3 will feature a lightweight metal housing. It measures 146.3×74.6×9.1 and weighs around 151 grams. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch quad HD display – already confirmed by LG.

The smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 KitKat and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (801) along with 2GB of RAM. It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 4K video recording support, Optic image stabilizer with Laser Auto Focus. The front camera is 2.1 mega pixels.

For connectivity, the LG G3 supports Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, USB v2.0, HDMI via Slim Port, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct, Mira Cast, FM Radio and GPS. Among the software features, LG G3 packs Knock Code, a Smart Keyboard, a Google-Now like Smart Notice app, LG Health and an improved camera interface.

Though the specifications have already leaked online, we can expect LG to reveal pricing and availability details of the G3. The smartphone will be competing with the likes of HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5.
