LG announces L Series III smartphones running Android 4.4 KitKat

New entry to mid ranged smartphones have been announced by LG, all running on customized Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

LG has announced its latest L Series III smartphones, which will fall in the entry-level to mid-range segment of smartphones, which include the LG L90, L70, and L40. The smartphones will run on a customized version of Android 4.4 KitKat and will be officially showcased at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week.

Regarding the specifications, the LG L90 will feature a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal memory, 4.7 inch qHD (960×540 pixels) IPS display, 8MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front camera and a 2,540mAh removable battery.

 

The LG L70 will have a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 4.5 inch WVGA (800×400 pixels) IPS display, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, a 2,100mAh battery and 8MP or 5MP rear camera for different markets.

The least expensive of the lot will be the LG L40 which will include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a 3.5 inch display with 480×320 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal memory, and 512MB of RAM. The L40 will also come in two variants- one with a 1,700mAh battery and one with a 1,540mAh removable battery for different markets.

No price details have been announced as of yet, but we expect that LG will be announcing the details at MWC next week.
