After iQOO 15, the smartphone maker has now officially announced plans to introduce the iQOO 15R. This comes after the company’s India CEO, Nipun Marya, took X to tease the device. While the company has not confirmed the exact details about the upcoming smartphone, the post has sparked buzz all over the internet. In his tweet, Marya wrote, ‘Power that fits just right’, hinting that it could be a compact flagship device. The company has already teased the device, but did not announce the exact date. If the rumours are believed to be true, the device may hit the retail shelves in February. The teaser suggests a square camera module with rounded edges, inspired by the iQOO 15. It also offers an LED flash outside the camera module.

The iQOO 15R is said to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED flat display with 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. The device may offer 5,000 nits peak brightness. The device could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset and the Q3 chipset. It may be paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. The device may feature a 7,600 mAh battery with 100W charging support. It could run on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
As for the camera, the device may get a 200MP main and an 8MP secondary camera. For selfies, the device may have a 32MP front camera. The device may get IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
