Apple iPhone 18 Pro series, the next generation iPhones have been in the limelight for all the right reasons. Both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max can debut with some big design changes, camera upgrades, improved performance and much more. But the latest leaks suggest that both devices will come with bigger battery packs. While the details are still not confirmed, here is everything that we know about the iPhone 18 Pro series.
A tipster on Chinese social media platform Weibo has claimed that the upcoming Pro models can be slightly thicker than their predecessors. The increased thickness is believed to create additional internal space for larger battery units to improve battery life as AI powered features become more demanding.
As per the leaked information, the iPhone 18 Pro Max can get a battery capacity crossing the 5,500mAh mark, a big jump from the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The standard iPhone 18 Pro is also expected to receive a modest battery upgrade over its predecessor, possibly a 4,200 mAh cell.
A different report citing regulatory documents filed in China also points in the same direction. While Apple has not officially confirmed any specifications, the documents suggest that both Pro models may receive larger batteries across different regional variants.

Apple is said to introduce both the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max during its annual September launch event, likely to take place on September 8 or September 9. The pre-orders are said to start in the same week and the sale may start on September 18.
According to the reports, the iPhone 18 Pro series may get Apple’s next-generation A20 Pro chipset, built on TSMC’s 2nm process. The devices are also tipped to feature 12GB RAM to support Apple Intelligence features.
Speaking of the front, Apple may offer OLED panels measuring 6.3 inches on the iPhone 18 Pro and 6.9 inches on the Pro Max. However, the Dynamic Island may get smaller. Camera upgrades are also rumoured, including a variable aperture main sensor that could offer improved low-light photography and greater control over depth effects.
