The OriginOS 6 is all set to debut on October 15, marking an official transition from the Funtouch OS found in Vivo and iQOO phones to OriginOS globally. To give a sneak peek into the new OriginOS, Vivo and iQOO have officially begun registrations for the OriginOS 6 Preview Program in India.
The upcoming OriginOS 6 update is based on Android 16 and is said to focus on a smoother, more responsive interface with customisation options and AI-driven features that improve the overall UX. According to Vivo, the OriginOS 6 preview program gives users of the Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13 a chance to experience the upcoming OS update and gather feedback from these users before the stable release later this month.
Vivo and iQOO have noted that the OriginOS 6 preview program is limited to select users and not all applicants will be accepted.
If you own a Vivo X200 Pro or the iQOO 13, you can sign up for the OriginOS 6 preview program directly from your devices by following these steps:
After submitting, the Vivo and iQOO teams will review your application and, if selected, will notify you of the next steps. Vivo and iQOO have advised users to update their devices to the latest version 15.0.14.1 or above for the Vivo X200 Pro, and version 15.0.13.9 or above for the iQOO 13.
Once the OriginOS 6 update is live, it will serve as the default OS on future Vivo and iQOO phones. The existing portfolio, especially phones launched in the past few months, will transition into OriginOS, and more details will be revealed on October 15.
