Samsung is now very close to launching its next-generation Galaxy foldable devices in the global market- the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Both devices have been spotted on multiple certification listings, including India’s BIS database, hinting that there will be some big upgrades compared to last year. There is also a speculation about a new Wide version of the Fold model that can compete directly with the upcoming iPhone Ultra. Anyway, here are the leaks about the Z Fold 8 and the Z Flip 8.
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 are expected to launch in the second week of July. Many reports suggest that the devices may launch either on July 8 or 9. If we look at previous track records, we can expect both devices to be available on different platforms.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is said to get some big upgrades, including a better battery and camera. The device is said to offer an 8-inch inner display paired with a 6.5-inch cover screen, both offering a 120Hz refresh rate. It could feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. It may feature 5,000mAh with support for faster charging.
As for the camera, the device may get a 200MP primary sensor, supported by ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may get a 6.9-inch foldable display along with a larger, edge-to-edge cover screen. It may feature a 2nm Exynos chipset. The Z Flip 8, as per the leaks, could get a 4,300 mAh battery. The camera setup is expected to be similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Speaking of the prices, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to be priced in the premium segment, possibly starting at Rs 1,74,999 in India, going up for higher variants. On the other side, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is said to be priced at Rs 1,27,000 in India. These are not the confirmed prices and the readers are advised to take the update with a pinch of salt.
