Dell Streak will have bigger siblings soon, giving the iPad stronger competition

Updated on 19-Apr-2010

While it was known that Dell would be adding more models to its Dell Streak lineup sooner or later, it still comes as a surprise that information regarding new models has already been leaked.

So, what are the new models going to be like? So far, all that is known is that there will be two other models apart from the Dell Streak 5 (the Mini 5) – a 7-inch Streak and a 10-inch Streak, both running an Android OS, and offering screens with widescreen aspect ratios. While people were quite sceptical of how usable and portable the Dell Streak 5 (with 5-inch screen size) tablet/smartphone will be, many have become used to the idea. Wonder how the 7-inch and 10-inch versions will go down with them…they will definitely require hands-free operation for voice calling! The bigger siblings are therefore closer to tablets in definition than smartphones, unlike the device category-spanning Dell Streak 5.

The Dell Streak 7 will supposedly launch in late 2010, the Dell Streak 10 will launch in early 2011, while the Dell Streak 5 and the Dell Aero will launch alongside each other with AT&T, sometime this June. It is great to know that the iPad will have more competition at so many price points and against so many different models.
