After the successful debut of the CMF Phone 1 last year, the Nothing sub-brand is working on its successor now. CMF has now officially announced the launch date of the smartphone in India. Ahead of the launch, the company has not confirmed a lot of details but we have a fair idea of what we can expect from the smartphone, thanks to rumours and leaks. Along with the smartphone, the brand can also launch a couple of accessories. Here’s everything we know about the launch so far.
CMF has officially announced that the CMF Phone 2 Pro will be launched on April 28, 2025 in India. Along with the phone, the company will also launch three new audio products: CMF Buds 2, Buds 2a, and Buds 2 Plus, making the event a major launch for the brand.
Nothing has shared a series of teasers on social media that give a sneak peek at the design of the CMF Phone 2 Pro. One of the teasers shows a corner of the device, revealing exposed screws, a metallic finish, and a “CMF by Nothing” branding on the back. The ad copy reads, “A new finish. Textured, Tactile, Different,” indicating a shift from the modular plastic back design of the CMF Phone 1. The exposed screws give us a hint that we might still get to see a removable back panel.
For cameras, we can see an addition of a third camera this time. Previously, the CMF Phone 1 just had a dual camera setup. Whether the third lens will be a telephoto, macro, or depth sensor remains unclear, but leaks suggest a more advanced camera system overall.
That’s all we know for now. But in the coming days, we can expect more information from the brand. Stay tuned!
