Apple’s much-rumoured CDMA iPhone 4 seemingly bound for India on Tata and Reliance

Another week, and another rumour about the CDMA iPhone – and this time, it’s supposedly going to hit Indian shores. Whether this will be before the speculated Verizon Wireless launch by late this year is still unknown, but apparently talks between Apple, Reliance Communications, and Tata Teleservices started about four or five months ago.


[RELATED_ARTICLE]Carrier-bound, contract phones never really caught on in a big way in India, but then again, maybe this is how the smartphone revolution will start in India, with thousands suddenly signing up for top-end phones – if priced attractively of course. Maybe the iPhone CDMA could pave the way.

In slightly unrelated news, Apple is also rumoured to be coming out of exclusive iPhone carrier agreements in Germany and The Netherlands.
