Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone may finally be getting closer to reality. Recent leaks have revealed what could be the first look at the device, often referred to as the iPhone Fold. A set of 3D CAD design files shared online shows how Apple might approach its first foldable smartphone. These files also seem to match earlier rumours about the phone’s hardware layout and design choices. At the same time, new reports suggest that the device could launch alongside the next generation of Pro models in Apple’s lineup. While Apple has not confirmed anything yet, the latest leaks offer a clearer picture of the iPhone Fold’s possible design, specifications, and launch timeline.
Tipster Sonny Dickson has recently posted an update on X (formerly Twitter) that claims to have CAD design files for the iPhone Fold. The design suggests that the iPhone Fold might have a raised camera bump on the back, similar to the iPhone Air. But there is one difference: the iPhone Air has only one camera, while the iPhone Fold may come with two cameras.
The handset also appears to include rounded corners and flat sides with the hinge area in the design. When opened, the layout reveals a front-facing camera placed at the top-left corner of the inner display.
Another report suggests that the phone could feature a black camera strip that contrasts with the body colour. The strip may include two horizontally placed sensors along with the flash and microphone. The button layout may also change. The volume buttons could move to the top edge, similar to the iPad mini, while Touch ID may be integrated into the power button. The device is also expected to include a camera controls button.
The iPhone Fold is rumoured to feature a 7.8-inch inner OLED display that could come with a crease-free design. It may also include a 5.5-inch outer display for regular use when the phone is folded. Reports also suggest that Apple could power the device with the upcoming A20 Pro chipset.
In terms of power, the handset is said to house a 5,500mAh battery. Other than that, the foldable iPhone is also expected to feature a smaller Dynamic Island.

Talking about the camera, the device could include four sensors in total. This may include two 48MP sensors at the rear end of the device. Along with an 18MP front camera on each display.
Leaks and rummours suggest that Apple may unveil the iPhone Fold in September 2026. Reports also claim that the company may launch the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max along with its first foldable.
According to the early reports, the device may cost around Rs 2,15,000. However, do note that these details are based on early leaks, and the final pricing may change when Apple officially announces the device.
