Apple is said to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro series later this year. It has been in the headlines for the possible upgrades, and now, the leaked CAD renders suggest how it may look. It suggests that the device may get a noticeably smaller cutout on the display, hinting that Apple may finally shift from some FaceID hardware under the screen. As per the leaked renders, the iPhone 18 Pro may retain Apple’s familiar flat edge design language, but with refinements to the front display layout. The Dynamic Island is said to shrink compared to the iPhone 17 Pro by 25 per cent. The reports also claim that this may be possible because Apple may move parts from the Face ID system, including the flood illuminator beneath the display panel.
Apple may also continue using the rectangular rear camera module, although minor material and finish changes are expected. The company may also introduce new colours including the Dark Cherry.
The Apple iPhone 18 Pro is said to feature an A20 Pro chipset, which may become the company’s first processor based on TSMC’s advanced 2nm process. The device may offer 12GB RAM to better support device AI features under Apple Intelligence.
On the camera front, the iPhone 18 Pro is rumoured to feature a 48MP primary sensor with a variable aperture system, allowing improved control over light intake and depth-of-field effects. For selfies, Apple may introduce a 24MP front camera, a notable jump over the previous generation.
The battery capacity is tipped to range between 4,100mAh and 4,250mAh, with support for faster 45W wired charging.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro lineup during a launch event rumoured for September 9, 2026. As for pricing, the iPhone 18 Pro with 256GB storage is expected to start at around Rs 1,34,900 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max could reportedly launch at approximately Rs 1,49,900.
