Apple is just a few weeks away from introducing its iPhone 18 Pro series and its first-ever foldable device. While Apple has not officially revealed the details of the upcoming launch event yet, we already know some of them. The iPhone maker will reportedly announce the devices at an event in the second week of September. There are also chances that Apple may push the iPhone 18 launch to next year. Here is everything that we know about the iPhone 18 Pro Max, including its launch date, specs and price.
According to supply chain and retail reports, Apple may announce the iPhone 18 Pro series at its September 9 event. Looking at the previous track record, the company may begin pre-orders in India on September 12, followed by retail availability and deliveries from September 18.
And the standard iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are reportedly being pushed to early 2027, with component shortages and production constraints said to be behind the staggered rollout.
As per the reports, the iPhone 18 Pro Max may be more expensive. The leaks suggest a starting price of around Rs 1,54,900 to Rs 1,59,900 for the 256GB model. Higher storage variants could cost more than Rs 1.8 lakh. On the other hand, the iPhone foldable, aka iPhone Ultra, can be priced at around Rs 1.9 lakh or higher.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to use Apple’s A20 Pro chip, reportedly based on TSMC’s 2nm manufacturing process. The processor is tipped to deliver improved performance and power efficiency, while the Pro Max could get 12GB of RAM to support more demanding on-device Apple Intelligence features.
The iPhone 18 Pro Max may pack a battery exceeding 5,000mAh, along with a vapor chamber cooling system designed to manage heat during gaming and other demanding workloads. The device is expected to retain a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with a 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of camera changes, the device may get a 48MP primary camera with a variable aperture. Reports suggest the lens can adjust between roughly f/1.4 and f/4.0, giving users greater control over light intake, depth of field and low-light photography. The phone is also expected to feature 48MP sensors across the main, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras.
