Apple iPhone 16e
Apple is said to be gearing up to give its budget smartphone lineup an annual upgrade with its new and improved iPhone 17e model. Though the company has not made any public announcement yet, rumours and reports have suggested that it might arrive sooner than expected. As per the recent reports, it suggests that Apple is working to make the overall feel of the smartphone more premium while keeping the pricing in check. The iPhone 17e is expected to come with the latest A19 chip, a 6.1-inch screen with a high refresh rate of 120Hz and a rear camera of 48MP. If you’re curious about what the new iPhone 17e could bring, there’s a detailed roundup covering its launch timeline, specifications, design, colours, and more.
In terms of design, the device is likely to adopt thinner bezels when compared with its predecessor, the iPhone 16e. However, the device is tipped to feature a 6.1-inch display like the older model with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. If the rumours are to be trusted, then the premium features like ProMotion and always-on display will still not make it to the upcoming iPhone 17e.

While on the front, it’s likely to sport an 18MP camera suitable for selfies and video calls. Lastly, in the battery department, the device is likely to be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery and is also tipped to feature MagSafe support.

As for the pricing, it’s estimated that the iPhone 17e model would cost around Rs 64,900 in India. The increase in price is because of the ongoing shortage of AI chips in the global market.
