When you think of Dell’s XPS or Alienware lineup, you probably think of premium laptops that easily cost around Rs 2 lakh. But what if we told you that isn’t the case anymore? The brand has just unveiled two laptops that cater to very different consumers. However, there is one thing they have in commo-: accessibility. Dell has launched the XPS 13 with a starting price of Rs 79,990, and the Alienware 15 which starts at Rs 1,28,990. Now if you’ve been following these two laptop series, you’ll know these are among the most affordable XPS and Alienware laptops the company has launched so far. Not only this, Dell has also unveiled the new Dell 14S and Dell 16S. So without further ado, here’s a closer look at the new lineup and what each laptop brings to the table.

For years, the XPS lineup has been known to be Dell’s flagship consumer laptop series offering high-end features and a premium experience. Earlier this year, we got to see the Dell XPS 14 which launched at Rs 2,05,990. But now, you don’t need to spend that much money if you just want an XPS device.
The Dell XPS 13 comes with a starting price of Rs 79,990. It is also super thin and light as it weighs just 1kg and measures 12.7mm at its thinnest point.
Under the hood, the laptop is powered by Intel Core Series 3 processors, with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 variants expected to arrive later. The laptop also packs up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to two Thunderbolt 4 ports depending on the configuration.
Talking about the display, you get a 13-inch 2.5K InfinityEdge touch display with 100 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage, up to 500 nits brightness and a variable refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz. Dell has also included Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Atmos-tuned quad speakers and a backlit keyboard.
Dell has also unveiled the new Dell 14S and Dell 16S laptops. These are basically for users who want AI-powered features without moving into the ultra-premium segment.
Both laptops are available with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors, featuring up to a 50 TOPS NPU for Copilot+ experiences and on-device AI tasks.
The Dell 14S starts at 1.46kg and comes in Celestial Blue and Frost Blue colour options. You can also choose between FHD+ OLED touch and non-touch panels on the 14S, while the Dell 16S gets a larger 2.8K OLED touch display. Across the lineup, Dell is offering refresh rates of up to 120Hz, Dolby Vision support and 100 percent DCI-P3 colour coverage.
For gamers, this is the announcement they’ve probably been waiting for. We all know how the Alienware brand has always catered to those gamers who can easily spend around Rs 2 lakh on a device. But now, that has changed. With the Alienware 15, Dell has reduced the entry barrier and has priced the laptop under Rs 1.5 lakh.
Talking quickly about the specs, the Alienware 15 comes with Intel Core 7 (Series 2) 240H processors and can be configured with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU.
The laptop also comes with a 15.3-inch WUXGA display, 165Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it suitable for both competitive and AAA gaming. Dell also says that it has improved durability, with the laptop tested against accidental spills and drops.
As for connectivity, the laptop includes USB Type-A, USB-C, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet and a dedicated charging port, giving you plenty of options for connecting those accessories and external displays.
As mentioned already, the Dell XPS 13 starts at Rs 79,990 and will be available through Dell’s online store, Dell Exclusive Stores and Reliance Digital outlets.
The Dell 14S starts at Rs 1,19,990, while the Dell 16S starts at Rs 2,29,990.
Meanwhile, the Alienware 15 starts at Rs 1,28,990 and will be sold through Dell’s online store, Dell Exclusive Stores and other major retail partners.
