Dell launches AMD-powered Dell Plus and 2025 lineup of Alienware laptops in India

Updated on 20-Jul-2025

Dell Technologies has introduced a refreshed lineup of laptops in India, showcasing advancements in artificial intelligence integration and performance-driven design. The launch spans two distinct product families: the new AMD-powered Dell Plus AI PCs for everyday and creative professionals, and the Alienware Area-51 and Aurora gaming laptops targeting high-performance users and competitive gamers.

New Dell Plus AI PCs go all-in on AMD

The new Dell Plus series includes three models: Dell 14 Plus, Dell 14 2-in-1 Plus, and Dell 16 Plus, all powered by AMD’s latest Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, with options up to the Ryzen AI 7 350. These laptops are positioned as AI-enhanced productivity machines for creators, professionals, and everyday users seeking a balance of power, battery efficiency, and usability.

Designed with responsiveness in mind, the Dell Plus laptops bring AI-driven enhancements to key functions such as noise cancellation, video quality, and power efficiency. A standout feature across all three devices is the FHD+ display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and Dolby Vision support, delivering more screen real estate and richer visuals. Realtek SounzReal speakers and Dolby Atmos audio offer a premium soundstage for multimedia consumption and online meetings.

Battery life is a key strength in this lineup. The Dell 14 Plus delivers up to 20 hours of runtime, while the 16 Plus claims up to 22 hours. The convertible 14 2-in-1 Plus offers up to 19 hours and includes a 360-degree hinge that allows it to switch between laptop, tent, stand, and tablet modes. It also supports the optional Dell Active Pen for sketching or handwritten input.

Other shared highlights include an FHD+ webcam for better video clarity, AI-based noise reduction during calls, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity for improved wireless performance, and ExpressCharge tech that powers the battery up to 80% in under an hour. The entire series incorporates sustainable materials like recycled aluminium, ocean-bound plastics, and meets EPEAT Gold and ENERGY STAR 9.0 certifications. All models are MIL-STD-810H tested for durability.

Alienware brings back Area-51 and updates Aurora

In parallel, Dell-owned Alienware has relaunched its flagship Area-51 notebook line in India, alongside the Alienware 16X Aurora. These gaming machines are built around Intel Core Ultra HX CPUs and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs, delivering top-tier performance for competitive and creative use cases.

The Alienware 16 and 18 Area-51 notebooks mark a return to maximum-performance portable gaming. They feature new WQXGA displays with up to 300Hz refresh rates, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and support for Advanced Optimus, targeting gamers who demand responsive visuals. The design includes a re-engineered Cryo-Tech cooling system with a 37% airflow improvement and noise reduction of up to 15%, paired with bold finishes like Liquid Teal and Interstellar Indigo. A transparent Gorilla Glass panel shows off the internals, underscoring the focus on both form and function.

Internally, these laptops can be equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and up to an RTX 5090 GPU, enabling a combined 280W power envelope. Thermal innovations include Alienware’s Element 31 thermal interface, a Cryo Chamber layout, and a Zero Hinge design for improved airflow. A 4K webcam and Cherry Ultra Low-Profile mechanical keyboard round out the premium spec sheet.

The Alienware 16X Aurora, on the other hand, focuses on portability without losing performance. It features a sculpted, streamlined chassis, 16-inch WQXGA display with a 240Hz refresh rate, and the same thermal engineering found in its larger siblings. With 155W Total Performance Power and design features such as a cushioned palm rest and chamfered edges, the Aurora is tailored for users who switch between gaming and productivity on the move. Stealth Mode lets users toggle a quieter, more discrete profile for use in cafés, libraries, or shared spaces.
