If your PS5 or PS4 has been sitting idle lately, September might give you a reason to turn it back on. Sony has announced the next batch of games coming to PlayStation Plus, and there is a decent mix this time around. Four games will be available to subscribers from September 1, ranging from a World War II shooter to a baseball simulator and a colourful co-op sandbox. So no matter if you enjoy carefully lining up the perfect shot, competing on the baseball field, exploring a colourful open world with friends, or getting lost in a classic-style RPG, there is something for you here.

If you are a PS Plus subscriber, you can get these games for free from September 1. The lineup begins with Sniper Elite: Resistance, available on both PS5 and PS4. Set during the Second World War in occupied France, the game puts you behind enemy lines with a focus on stealth, sniping and tactical combat. The entire campaign can also be played in co-op, while Axis Invasion lets another player enter your campaign as an enemy sniper. There is also a Survival mode for up to four players and online competitive battles for up to 16 players.
In addition to this, PS5 owners also get MLB The Show 26. The baseball game lets you build your career in Road To The Show, including the chance to compete in the MLB Draft Combine and play with 11 new college teams. Diamond Dynasty also lets you build a squad featuring players from different eras.
If you are looking for something more relaxed, Wobbly Life comes to both PS5 and PS4. It is an open-world sandbox that supports up to four players through online or local split-screen co-op. And finally, Chained Echoes brings a 16-bit-inspired JRPG experience to PS4, with swords, magic, mechs and a story set across the continent of Valandis.
While September brings four new games, PS Plus subscribers will also have to say goodbye to several titles. Sony is removing 10 games from the Game Catalog on September 15, meaning you have limited time left if you have been thinking of playing any of them.
The games are as follows:
Once these games are removed on September 15, PS Plus members will no longer be able to play them through their PS Plus subscription. So, if any of these titles have been sitting on your backlog, this could be a good time to finally give them a shot. With four new games arriving at the start of the month and 10 titles leaving midway through September, the PS Plus library is set for another shake-up.
