Nintendo 3DS apparently more powerful than a Wii, even without Tegra?

Updated on 08-Jun-2010

According to the latest revelations from IGN and Eurogamer, it appears that Nintendo 3DS will soon be here to blow away the competition from the likes of Wii gaming consoles. The surprising fact is that, it is reportedly built without the Tegra chip under the hood. As per some unknown sources, it is said that Nvidia no longer holds the stronghold in the 3D handheld gaming segment and might soon be overtaken by unexpected counterparts. It is said that Nintendo has codenamed this project as “CTR” along the lines of some well known Nintendo motherboards incorporating the 3DS prototype. In all probability, the cat is expected to be out of the hat in the coming week at E3.
