Microsoft bidding to acquire Facebook apps developer Crowdstar

Microsoft may be looking to get into Facebook apps development in a big way and true to its style the software giant is bidding to acquire an existing company. According to Bloomberg, Microsoft in one of the companies bidding for Crowdstar; a developer that has reportedly made a truck-load of money by selling virtual items for their fish-care game “Happy Aquarium”.  

 Some in the industry are estimating the company’s value at 200 million US dollars. An astonishing value since the company is just two years old and has a relatively tiny headcount of 20 employees. Besides Happy Aquarium, Crows Star’s other Facebook games are Know-It-All Trivia, Happy Pets and Happy Island.
