Every console gamer around the world is waiting with bated breath for Rockstar Games’ upcoming title GTA VI. The franchise, over the years, has managed to establish a loyal fan base. It has been a decade since we got GTA V and its successor will be all that the gaming community can talk about when it releases. It has been almost a year since we got the first trailer of GTA VI. Since then, every frame has been dissected, debated, and turned into theory material. Now, fans think they might have cracked another mystery and this time, the clue could be pointing to when the next trailer drops.

It all started with a small detail that most viewers probably missed. In one of the clips from the second GTA 6 trailer, the character Jason is seen glancing at his digital watch, which shows the time “11:08.” To most people, it’s nothing special. But for a community that has spent months studying every reflection, billboard, and background prop, that timestamp suddenly looks suspicious.
The theory, shared by popular fan account @GTAVI_Countdown on X (formerly Twitter), suggests that “11:08” might secretly hint at November 8 – a potential release date for the third trailer. It’s a date that’s too neat to ignore. Not only does it fall close to the one-year anniversary of GTA 6’s first trailer, but it also lands just two days after Take-Two Interactive’s upcoming earnings call on November 6.
Rockstar hasn’t commented on the speculation, but long-time fans know the studio enjoys hiding Easter eggs in plain sight. It’s the kind of playful marketing that fuels hype while revealing almost nothing.
Just recently, reports of GTA VI being available for pre-order soon were also surfacing. As per multiple reports circulated on social media, the GTA 6 page on the PlayStation Store was said to be quietly updated to include a “Select Editions” option. While this feature might seem minor at first glance, it typically appears only when publishers are preparing to launch pre-orders. Some users also claimed they briefly spotted a ratings section on the same listing before it disappeared, suggesting that backend work is actively underway.
This marked the first significant change to GTA 6’s digital presence since Xbox’s own placeholder listing briefly displayed a “pre-load” button earlier this year.
So far, neither Rockstar nor Sony has commented on the update. But given the publisher’s history of tight-lipped marketing and its preference for surprise reveals, fans aren’t expecting confirmation until Rockstar decides to go public with pre-order details, possibly without prior notice.
