Devil May Cry gets a new naked trailer

Updated on 25-Jan-2024

When we first heard about the reboot to the Devil May Cry franchise we were a little apprehensive. Our fears can of course be understandable as Dante is a legendary character and we don’t want to ruin the memories of DmC on our good old PS2. The look and style of the new Dante was met with mixed reactions when we first saw the game at E3 2011. The consolation prize was that famed developer Ninja Theory was handling the project.

For the first time since its announcement, the attendees of Capcom’s Captivate event held in Rome were able to get some hands on time with the new DmC (Devil May Cry) and experience the fast-paced, stylish combat that is the signature of the series.

In addition, the game’s development team, including members from Capcom Japan and Ninja Theory, presented a brand new level of the game. In this area, set at a carnival near the pier where he lives, Dante faces off with a Hunter Demon that has tracked down the Son of Sparda.

In this new trailer we get a closer look at the lead protagonist and the ever-changing “limbo” reality in which gamers will take on hoards of daemons. Dante is equipped with the classic dual pistols and his sword but the number of combos you can execute goes beyond what we have seen in past iterations of the game. So far, DMC5 is turning out to look quite promising…
